Description

Fireclay eraser for use in construction, repairs, joining fireplaces and their stoves, gluing lightweight fire-resistant boards, mats and fireclay plates and elements to ceramic and metal substrates. It can be used both for small repairs and for the actual construction of a new fireplace, provided the correct mixing ratio is observed and the maximum mortar layer in individual layers is up to 5 mm.

Preparation of erasing adhesive and building mortar:
Depending on the scope of the repair or construction, we will decide how much fireclay mortar we will prepare at once. For the entire package, you need to prepare a solution of water and water glass (1 l in total) in a 1:1 ratio, i.e. 0.5 l of water glass and 0.5 l of water. Pour the contents of the bag (5 kg) into a container and pour the prepared solution, mix well and leave for approx. 3 minutes lie down. Then mix it lightly and the mortar is ready for use. We recommend preparing only such a quantity that we can process within 2 hours. In case of work interruption, smooth the mass in the container slightly and pour 1 mm of water. This will prevent drying out and the work can then be continued by pouring out the water.

Construction and repairs of heating plants:
When building new fireplaces, we mainly adhere to the maximum mortar layer of up to 5 mm. We lightly moisten fireclay bricks and elements before construction itself! When jointing and repairing damaged lining, we proceed as follows: The areas to be repaired are moistened with water, then filled with prepared mortar and smoothed on the surface. The repaired fireplace is left to dry for 12-24 hours, depending on the size and scope of the repair. Then it is dried with moderate heating (2-6 hours) until the repaired areas are completely hardened.

Bonding to a metal substrate:
We will remove all greasy impurities and especially rust from the substrate. We recommend using the Profi Cutter (Kittfort product line). We recommend coating the substrate with a thinner mortar before gluing. Let the layer dry and then glue. Mortar can also be used to protect and repair interior linings and furnaces and metal parts exposed to high temperatures. The mortar can be used in all places where the temperature does not exceed 1400 °C.

Safety instructions:
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses or a face shield when working. Observe basic hygiene rules! Wash your hands after work, or affected skin, water and soap and treat with a suitable repair cream. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse the eyes with running water, in case of accidental ingestion, rinse the mouth, drink 0.5 l of water and seek medical attention. In more serious cases, always seek medical attention.
