PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Remal protective varnish is used for additional protection of painting and dispersion interior coatings. It is especially intended for increasing the resistance of painted mineral substrates – plasters, plasterboard, etc. The painted substrate is more resistant to abrasion and can be washed with water. The surface treated in this way is resistant to common cleaning and disinfecting agents (based on hypochlorite, alcohol, common detergents, quaternary ammonium salts, etc.). REMAL protective varnish shows resistance to abrasion when wet - measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 - class 1 (classification according to EN 13300).

RECOMMENDED COATING PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush or roller (with short hair - for acrylic varnishes). After testing, it can be applied by spraying. Varnish is mostly used undiluted. The substrate must be cohesive, free of grease and dust. Mix the varnish properly before application! The varnish is applied in one or two layers to the prepared base. The varnish will reach the desired properties within 48 hours. The varnish is not suitable for applying to very thick layers of poorly cohesive coatings (glue, kaolin paints, etc.) - cracking and peeling of the coatings may occur! For easier application or for a more absorbent base, it can be diluted with water up to a maximum of 10% (0.1 l per 1 kg of paint). The temperature of the substrate and environment during work should not fall below +5 °C and exceed +25 °C.
