PRAGOPRIMER STANDARD S2000

Universal primer, suitable mainly as a primer under synthetic air drying solvent-based top coats.  It has excellent anticorrosive properties, fast drying and universal applicability. It is suitable for absorbent substrates such as wood or masonry as well.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface must be clean, dry, degreased, free of rust and dust, mechanically cleaned. First of all the surface must be degreased by means of suitable agent (e.g. BALTECH P6402 technical benzine, BALTECH P6401 acetone or, if it is possible, warm pressurized water with detergent). For removing of residues of various salts it is necessary then to rinse the surface with clear water. Rough and sticky impurities must be removed manually or mechanically (grinding, scraping). Possible rust may be removed also manually or mechanically (metal brushes, grinding discs). Absorbent surfaces must be treated (penetrated) with suitable agent, providing even absorbency. Formerly coated surfaces must be cleaned, degreased and without old non-adhesive paints.

Thinner: BALTECH S6001 for spraying, BALTECH S6006 for brush or roller

Spreading capacity: 18 - 21 m²/l per one layer

WORKFLOW

Properly mix before use, thin, if it is necessary. Apply by brush, roller or spraying.
The coating of a metal:
First it is necessary to treat the problematic zones (corners, edges, welds, surface defects) by brush. 
1. 1x PRAGOPRIMER STANDARD S2000, drying 24 hours. Optimal thickness of one layer is 25 -30 μm. Drying on metal objects can be accelerated by drying up to the temperature of 80 °C; 
2. bonding, as necessary i.e. by polyester mastic BKP Rapid TOS;
3. regrinding of the bonded places with a sandpaper No. 180 - 220 while wet;
4.  1x PRAGOPRIMER STANDARD S2000;
5.  grinding with a sandpaper No. 280;
6. 2 - 3x  INDUSTROL UNIVERZAL S2013, INDUSTROL PLUS S2071 or INDUSTROL UNIMAT S2075.

The coating of an absorbent surface:
1.    1x impregnation with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or LAZUROL FUNGICIDAL IMPREGNATION S1033, drying 24 hours;
2. 1x PRAGOPRIMER STANDARD S2000, drying 24 hours;
3. 2 – 3x INDUSTROL UNIVERZAL S2013, INDUSTROL PLUS S2071 or INDUSTROL UNIMAT S2075.  If the bonding is needed, follow the steps from the previous section.
