LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035

Solvent-based woodstain is intended to protect soft and hard wood in both interior and exterior. It protects wood against UV radiation. It deeply penetrates wooden structure and enhances natural beauty, provides highly effective coating. The product is characteristic by very easy renewability of an old paint. Natural shade T000 (colourless) of woodstain is intended for using in interior only!!

SURFACE PREPARATION

Before the application, the timber surface shall be clean, dry, well smoothened, with max. 12% humidity and free of resin residues. The timber surface with high content of resins (larch, pine) shall be cleaned of all resin residues, e.g. by washing by BALTECH C6000 nitro-solvent. Quality of wood preparation determines overall look of the wood final finish and affects total lifetime of the coating system.

First it is recommended to treat the timber surface with a suitable impregnation, which ensures uniform absorbency and higher protection of the timber surface of wood (in case of using fungicidal impregnation also protection against attack of mould, fungi and insects. Subsequently it is necessary to lightly abrade a surface by fine sandpaper in the direction of the grain, dust off and apply woodstain.

Spreading capacity: 13 - 15 m²/l per single layer according to a timber absorbency

WORKFLOW

Properly mix before use. Apply by brush on the prepared surface. It shouldn´t be thinned, it is ready to use. Ensure product is thoroughly stirred during the application, otherwise sheen and colour variations may be expected. Apply 1 or 2 coats for interior and 3 coats for exterior use. The natural shade of woodstain is for interior only. Recoat after 24 hours. When you wipe surface after 10-15 minutes with dry brush or cloth, beauty of wood is highlighted.

For high gloss finish it is possible to apply LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or LAZUROL GOLD S1037 (natural shade) over the dried LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. To get high durability of floor it is possible to use LAZUROL FLOOR VARNISH S1020.

For larger compact areas always use the material from the same batch. Using the same batch can guarantee the same shade of the colour. We recommend mixing the content of the individual cans by homogeneous mixing.
