LAZUROL protective oil coating with beeswax S1022

LAZUROL S1022 is used to protect wood, both soft and hard, in interiors and exteriors. Varnish with wax gives the wood a highly decorative appearance, a water-repellent and breathable surface.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Before the application, the timber surface shall be clean, dry, well smoothened, with max. 12% humidity and free of resin residues. The timber surface with high content of resins (larch, pine) shall be cleaned of all resin residues, e.g. by washing by BALTECH C6000 nitro-solvent. Quality of wood preparation determines overall look of the wood final finish and affects total lifetime of the coating system. During restoration, it is necessary to remove non-cohesive layers of paint from the substrate, e.g. by sanding.

WORKFLOW

Before painting, it is advisable to treat the wood in the exteriors against fungi, fungi and wood-destroying insects, e.g. with the preparation LAZUROL IMPREGNAČNÍ ZÁKLAD S1033.

Mix the product thoroughly before use. The varnish is  already ready for use, thinning it is not necessary. After thorough mixing, it is applied with a brush to the previously prepared substrate, min. application temperature + 7°C. It is applied in 1-2 layers at an interval of approx. 6 hours. It is advisable to wipe off the non-absorbed varnish with a dry brush or rag after 30 minutes of application, and additionally polish the dried coating with, for example, soft flannel. The coating is dry within 24 hours.

Absorbent materials of organic origin (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked in varnish must be disposed of, as they may spontaneously ignite under certain circumstances.
