LAZUROL OKNOBAL EMAIL U2015

The product is determined for the top glossy coats of wood, especially wooden windows, doors, soffits etc., both in interior and exterior. The enamel is characteristic by excellent mechanical properties, high hiding power and UV resistance, outstanding plasticity, very fast drying and a silk gloss. The enamel is well spread, is not creating any hangings within the application and has an excellent pourability. White shade is characteristic by a high whiteness.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Before the application, the timber surface shall be clean, dry, well smoothened, with max. 12% humidity and free of resin residues. The timber surface with high content of resins (larch, pine) shall be cleaned of all resin residues, e.g. by washing by BALTECH C6000 nitro-solvent. Quality of wood preparation determines overall look of the wood final finish and affects total lifetime of the coating system. First it is recommended to treat the timber surface with a suitable impregnation, which ensures uniform absorbency and higher protection of the timber surface of wood (in case of using fungicidal impregnation also protection against attack of mould, fungi and insects. Subsequently it is necessary to lightly abrade a surface by fine sandpaper in the direction of the grain, dust off and apply primer. Formerly coated surfaces must be cleaned, degreased and without old non-adhesive paints.

WORKFLOW

Properly mix before use, thin, if it is necessary. Apply by brush, roller or spraying on prepared surface.
1.    1 or 2 coats of LAZUROL FUNGICIDAL IMPREGNATION S1033 or colourless woodstain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. The surface wipes off by cloth after 10-15 minutes. Sand after drying 24 hours.   
2.    1 or 2 coats of synthetic primer PRAGOPRIMER PLUS S2070 or LAZUROL OKNOBAL ZÁKLAD S2060, optimal thickness of one layer is 25 - 30 µm, 5 hours drying. 
3.    1 or 2 coats of LAZUROL OKNOBAL EMAIL U2015. To create a long-lasting paint effectivity, it is suitable to apply the enamel in two thinner layers. The paint in a thickness of 30-35 µm may be recoated within next 4 hours using "wet to wet" system or in 10 hours after making first layer at the temperature of +20 to +25 °C. If the layer thickness is higher, it is necessary to increase a period between the separated paints.
