The product is intended to be used as a primer coating of light metals and iron. It is also suitable for coatings of steel under nitrocellulose and synthetic enamels drying out on air. It is endowed with excellent drying and excellent adhesion to many surfaces.
BENEFITS
• active anticorrosive pigment
• excellent adhesion to steel and light metals
• suitable under nitrocellulose and polyurethane enamels
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface must be clean, dry, degreased, free of rust and dust, mechanically cleaned. Application on galvanized sheet is possible after 12 months of weathering.
First of all the surface must be degreased by means of suitable agent (e.g. BALTECH P6402 technical benzine, BALTECH P6401 acetone or, if it is possible, warm pressurized water with detergent). For removing of residues of various salts it is necessary then to rinse the surface with clear water. Rough and sticky impurities must be removed manually or mechanically (grinding, scraping). Possible rust may be removed also manually or mechanically (metal brushes, grinding discs). Formerly coated surfaces must be cleaned, degreased and without old non-adhesive paints.
Thinner: BALTECH C6000 for spraying, BALTECH S6005 for brush or roller
Spreading capacity: 10 - 12 m2/l per one layer
WORKFLOW
Properly mix before use, thin, if it is necessary. Apply by brush, roller or spraying on prepared surface.
The coating of a metal:
1. 1 coat of S2003 FORMEX FOR GALVANIZED IRON. It dries at temperature of approximately 20 °C. Drying can be accelerated by heating up to 80°C. The coat dried on air can be re-sprayed by synthetic or nitrocellulose enamel already after 1 hour, optimum thickness of one layer is 35 - 40 μm.
2. 1 or 2 coats of synthetic enamel INDUSTROL UNIVERZAL S2013, INDUSTROL UNIMAT S2075 or INDUSTROL PROFI U2129.
