Product composition and characteristics:
Unsaturated solution of polyester resins in styrene.
Use:
It is used to repair laminate objects (boats, sporting goods, fairings, car parts, etc.).
Preparation of documents:
Thoroughly clean, sand and degrease the substrate.
Preparation of laminating polyester:
Add 2% initiator to the required amount of polyester while stirring constantly (ie polyester 100 parts by weight: initiator 2 parts by weight). Always prepare only the amount of mixture that you can process within 15 minutes at 20°C. We do not laminate at temperatures lower than 15°C.
Lamination:
Apply the hardened mixture to the repaired area and attach a saturated piece of fiberglass. Press down perfectly with a brush and saturate again. Depending on the extent of the damage and the load on the repaired area, we will use another 2-3 layers of saturated fabric. After hardening (5-24 hours), the surface is sanded with sandpaper No. 80. To perfectly fill the remaining larger or smaller irregularities and depressions around the repaired area, we recommend using Universal polyester putty. All work tools must be washed quickly with thinner C 6000 or S 6005.
