Description

DENAS OSTAFIX N is a thin-layer universal adhesive with high adhesion, intended for gluing ceramic tiles, tiles, suspended ceilings, cladding boards and moldings made of foamed polystyrene and polyurethane, wood, mirrors, glass, PVC, rubber flooring, plaster castings and cladding. The condition for a solid connection is that one of the glued surfaces must be a cohesive absorbent material, such as concrete, plaster, aerated concrete and especially board construction materials such as fiber cement and cement chipboards, plasterboard, chipboard, but also cardboard boards, e.g. prefabricated housing cores and other building materials materials. OSTAFIX N can also be used to seal joints and cracks in the substrate before painting.

Features of the DENAS mounting adhesive:
universal
for gluing on absorbent and non-absorbent substrates
with high adherence
suitable for gluing ceramic tiles and tiles
can also be used to seal joints and cracks in the substrate before painting
White colour
Composition (general):

Adhesive based on aqueous acrylate dispersion, containing binders based on aqueous acrylate dispersion, fine fillers, pigments, dispersants and modifying additives

DENAS mounting adhesive workflow:
The substrate must be solid, dry, free of dirt and grease. Absorbent substrates are impregnated with the penetration preparation DENAS HLOUBKOVÁ PENETRACE. Before gluing on older plasters, it is necessary to remove layers of paint, then thoroughly dust and penetrate. Firm and non-absorbent substrates only need to be thoroughly cleaned and degreased. The surface no longer needs to be penetrated.

OSTAFIX N is applied to the substrate with a notched trowel with a tooth height of 3–7 mm. The height of the teeth is determined according to the flatness of the substrate and the format of the facing material, so that after placing the facing into the adhesive layer and its subsequent removal, there must be a clear impression of the adhesive on the entire reverse side of the glued material. The glue is applied to an area that can be covered with facing material within 10 minutes. The tile is placed in the adhesive layer and is set in the desired position by pressure or tapping. Ceramic tiles are not wetted with water before gluing! In the case of gluing polystyrene ceilings and tiles, it is not necessary to carry out full-surface gluing, the glue is usually applied pointwise or in strips on the edges and in the center of the tiles. The temperature during gluing and drying of the glue must not fall below 15 °C.

Consumption: 0.3–1.5 kg/m2 depending on the type and quality of the substrate and bonded materials.
