The external contact insulation system with mineral wool insulation and surface treatment with acrylic, silicone or silicate plaster is a system for the insulation of vertical external envelopes of residential, civil and industrial buildings of existing and new constructions.
Detailed instructions for the execution and composition of the system are given in the Technological Regulation.
The external contact (glued) insulation system BALMINERAL is designed to increase the thermal resistance of building envelopes.
The use of the BALMINERAL system is defined by the current fire technical standards and regulations: ČSN EN 13501-1+ A1 Classification according to fire reaction tests ČSN 730863 Determination of flame spread on the surface of building materials ČSN 732901 Implementation of external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) Technical rules for designing, verification and implementation of VKZS (issued by the Guild for the Insulation of Buildings of the Czech Republic under number TPZ 2001-1)
The BALMINERAL system in its standard composition can be used for vertical surfaces of the facade cladding except for the plinth. The plinth area is defined by min. 30 cm above the ground or the sidewalk (eaves walkway) adjacent to the facade. This area of the facade cladding must meet the requirements for increased resistance to rainwater.
