ASPHALT VARNISH A1010

The product is determined for protective coatings of steel, cast iron, wood, concrete and plaster against moisture. It is used especially where permanent flexibility of the waterproofing coating is required. Coating of wood and metal can be done only without claim to aesthetic appearance.
The coating is resistant against mechanical influences and water. It is not resistant against organic solvents and temperatures above 40 °C.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Concrete or masonry substrate must be dry, compact, clean, well-matured (at least 28 days) and insulated against ground (bottom) moisture. The surface must be free of dust, grease and other impurities.

The metal surface must be clean, dry, degreased, free of rust and dust, mechanically cleaned. First of all the surface must be degreased by means of suitable agent (e.g. BALTECH P6402 technical benzine, BALTECH P6401 acetone or, if it is possible, warm pressurized water with detergent).

Thinner: BALTECH S6006

Spreading capacity: 5 - 7 m²/kg per one layer

WORKFLOW

Stir paint thoroughly throughout the whole volume and dilute it with thinner BALTECH S6006 if it is necessary. Apply the paint by brusk or roller directly on the substrate by brush or roller in 1 or 2 coats, recoating is possible after 24 hours/23 °C. Absorbent surfaces must be treated (penetrated) with diluted varnish A 1010, interval for recoating is about 12 h / 23 °C.
